Neoregelia schultesiana variegata T6

Neoregelia schultesiana variegata is a variegated form of the botanical species Neoregelia schultesiana, named in honor of the American botanist Richard E. Schultes. The species originally comes from Colombia and belongs to the smaller to medium-sized Neoreglias.
The variegated form is particularly decorative due to its striking leaf pattern and is mainly appreciated as an ornamental plant in collections.

Characteristics:

This plant forms a compact, slightly funnel-shaped rosette with narrow to medium, leathery leaves. The leaves display a striking variegation in the form of creamy white or yellowish longitudinal stripes on a green background, sometimes with a reddish overlay. During the flowering period, the center of the rosette often turns pink to reddish. The flowers appear in the center and are small, lavender to violet in color.

Care Instructions:

Light: Bright to semi-shaded, no direct sunlight at noon – promotes coloring.
Water: Regularly fill the rosette with fresh water; keep the substrate slightly moist and well-drained.
Humidity: Medium to high (above 50%), regular misting recommended in dry air.
Fertilizer: In spring and summer, 1–2 times per month with our special bromeliad or orchid fertilizer in diluted form directly into the rosette.
Temperature: 18–28 °C, do not keep permanently below 12 °C.

Note: Neoregelia schultesiana variegata is excellent for bright indoor spaces, smaller containers, or decorative plant combinations. Its contrasting variegation makes it an elegant eye-catcher – even outside of the flowering period.
